As a Mum of two, there’s a quote I’ve heard many times over the years; “The days are long, but the years are short”, and how true this is!
Some days (and, let’s be real, nights!) feel like an eternity, but the next thing you know, your sweet little baby is walking, then off to school, then losing their front teeth, having their first crush (and first heartbreak) and before you know it, leaving home to spread their wings.
Family photo sessions are a beautiful way of remembering the ‘here and now’ - together - just as you are (missing front teeth and all).

My family sessions are relaxed and fun and take place at home or on-location around our beautiful Hawkes Bay landscapes. We can chat about a location that suits your family best and I have a bunch to suggest that work perfectly for these sessions.
From firsthand experience, I know how fast families change. All of a sudden, our little ones aren’t so little anymore, so I fully appreciate how important it is to document these fleeting moments.
Outdoor sessions are best held in the final 1-2 hours before sunset to give you the most flattering light.

Extended Family Sessions
Life gets busy, I get it, but it’s always worth the coordination and chaos to bring the whole crew together. Families are forever growing and changing, and there’s something so beautiful when multiple generations come together - moments worth preserving.
We’ll be sure to make time for each family unit to have their own little mini session while covering all the essential combinations of family members. And, of course, lots of candid moments along the way!
Sessions are generally held outdoors (to accommodate big groups), and in the final 1-2 hours before sunset is always my recommendation.

Mini Sessions
If a full family session isn’t quite your thing, Mini Sessions might be more your style. They are perfect for a quick update of the family photo album or great for when your little ones might not last the distance for a typical session.
The goal: relaxed and happy moments that reflect your family’s unique connection.
Mini Sessions are held on set dates in Spring and Autumn only, usually over 2-3 weekends at different locations. To be one of the first to hear when these dates are announced and get priority booking, contact me to join the Early Bird list before all the details go public.

Online Gallery + Print Store
After our session, you’ll receive your high-resolution images delivered in a online gallery for to you download to your devices. These are password-protected, private galleries but you’re welcome to share them with friends and family - especially where multiple families have been involved (such as an extended family session).
Inside your gallery you’ll find an integrated print store where you can easily order prints and canvases, knowing they are printed at the highest quality now, and for years to come.
Paying it forward
My job is to photograph your kids doing their job - being kids! With that in mind, a portion of your session fees go to KidsCan - because I can’t imagine doing my job cold, wet or hungry, so why should they? Let’s work together to help kids be the best they can be and give all kiwi kids a fair start.
